Press Release from the General Secretary of the People’s National Party, Dr Dayton Campbell

Kingston, Jamaica. September 14, 2024: To All Comrades and Supporters,

As we approach the 86th Annual Conference of the People’s National Party, to be held tomorrow, September 15, 2024, at the National Arena in Kingston, we wish to extend our gratitude to all comrades and supporters traveling from across Jamaica to join us. Your presence is a vital part of this historic occasion, and we look forward to celebrating together as one united movement.

We encourage everyone commuting to exercise caution on the roads. It is important that we all comply with road safety regulations and follow the instructions provided by the police and other authorities to ensure a smooth and safe journey. With the large turnout anticipated, let us maintain order and avoid unsafe practices such as hanging from vehicles. Ensuring that everyone is securely seated is essential to the safety of us all.

To make the most of this momentous day, we ask that you arrive early at the National Arena. By doing so, we can ensure a smooth and organized flow of the day’s events. As comrades and supporters, it is important that we demonstrate discipline and respect for the rules as we come together to celebrate this pivotal moment for the PNP.

For those unable to attend in person, the party invites you to tune in virtually. The conference will be streamed live on the PNP’s social media platforms: YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram at @JamaicaPNP. In addition, you can watch the stream on Mark Golding’s Instagram and TikTok at @MarkJGolding, starting at 10 a.m. For those following on traditional media, the event will be broadcast live on TVJ and CVM at 1 p.m., and on Radio Jamaica at 2:45 p.m..

The People’s National Party extends apologies to the public for any traffic disruptions that may result from the movement of supporters to the National Arena. We appreciate your understanding as we focus on our shared mission of returning power to the people.

As we come together for this historic conference, we are reminded that the strength of our movement lies in unity, discipline, and commitment to a better Jamaica. Let us celebrate safely and with pride, always remembering: People. Time. Come.
