The People’s National Party Extends Deepest Condolences to Party Leader Mark Golding and His Family on the Passing of Lady Patricia Golding

Kingston, Jamaica, September 27, 2024: The People’s National Party (PNP) expresses its heartfelt condolences to our Comrade Leader, Mark Golding, his sister, and the entire Golding family on the passing of their beloved matriarch, Lady Patricia Golding. Lady Golding, aged 92, transitioned peacefully at home on the night of September 26, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Lady Patricia’s spirit, grace, and unwavering love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was a symbol of quiet strength and dignity, deeply cherished by her family and respected by all those whose lives she touched.

Together, Lady Patricia and her late husband, Sir John Golding, built a legacy of service and compassion. They worked hand in hand to better the lives of Jamaicans, most notably through their contribution to rehabilitative medicine with the establishment of the Mona Rehabilitation Centre, now known as the Sir John Golding Rehabilitation Centre. Their partnership was a testament to their shared commitment to the well-being of others and the development of Jamaican society.

As the Golding family mourns the loss of their beloved matriarch, we stand united with them in their grief. We offer our support, strength, and prayers during this difficult time, and we honour Lady Patricia’s life, which was lived with grace and quiet resilience.
