PNP Pledges Bold Action to Reclaim South West St. Ann at The People’s Forum

May 12, 2025, Kingston, Jamaica: The People’s National Party (PNP) hosted a spirited and well attended town hall meeting entitled, ‘The People’s Forum’ in St. Ann last Wednesday, May 7, 2025. The event  attracted a diverse cross-section of residents and showcased the party’s commitment to  transformational leadership and people-centered development in the parish.

The forum featured powerful presentations from the Party Leader Mark Golding, MP and some of the PNP’s most dynamic national  figures, including Senator Dr. Professor Floyd Morris, Opposition Spokesperson on Housing and  Sustainable Living, Dr. Alfred Dawes, Opposition Spokesperson on Health & Wellness and Dr.  Kenneth Russell, Opposition Deputy Spokesperson on Education & Community Development.

Residents listened attentively and responded with enthusiasm to the party’s vision of  sustainable housing, accessible healthcare, and improved education for the parish.  The event made it clear that the People’s National Party is serious about reclaiming the parish including South West St. Ann, with Danishka Williams positioned as a bold and capable  candidate.

Party Leader Mark Golding began the evening with a solid and inspiring address that  outlined the PNP’s national agenda and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to inclusive growth,  fairness, and putting the people first.

Senator Dr. Floyd Morris delivered a passionate commitment to housing development in the  area. He remarked, “The Candidate for the PNP in South West St. Ann called me and said that she wants to do the first housing development in South West St. Ann, and I said to her, ‘Don’t worry  Danishka, because help is on the way’.”

Dr. Alfred Dawes reinforced the urgency of improving public health services in the region,  stating that a PNP government will not only upgrade the Alexandria Community Hospital but  also ensure it is equipped to provide urgent care, with proper staffing and resources to serve the  people effectively.

Dr. Kenneth Russell also delivered a clear and compelling presentation, affirming that education  will be a top priority for a future PNP administration. His focus on community development and  educational empowerment resonated strongly with attendees who have long called for better  opportunities for their children.

Danishka Williams, the PNP’s candidate for South West St. Ann, shared, “I’m happy that  under a PNP government we will be able to deliver housing solutions and proper healthcare to  my people of South West St. Ann. I’m proud to be part of a team that is committed to delivering  nothing but the best, not just to my constituency, but to the entire Jamaica.”
