I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Mr. Brian George, President and Chief Executive Officer of Supreme Ventures Limited. Brian George has been an integral and valuable part of the Jamaican business community since assuming the leadership of Supreme Ventures in 2003.
Mr. George was known for his outstanding marketing and management skills that helped to propel Supreme Ventures to the position of being a major and successful business. He was instrumental in the growth of the gaming industry in Jamaica and spearheaded initiatives to utilise the proceeds of the industry for social and economic development of our country.
Brian George exhibited admirable corporate social responsibility and contributed his time and management expertise to the work of several public boards. He was an active Board member of the CHASE Fund and in 2012 was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ports Security Corps and as a Director of the Development Bank of Jamaica Limited. At the time of his passing Mr. George was Deputy Chairman of the National Health Fund.
Brian George will be sadly missed for his enterprising mind, his managerial attributes and extraordinary business acumen. He will also be remembered for his pleasant personality and commitment to the development of Jamaica and the Caribbean region.
I extend sincere condolences to his wife Keneea, his sons, other relatives and to the entire Supreme Ventures family.
